On September 13, we had a great group of students from Nathan Hale school stop by the firehouse for a visit. They toured the ambulance, learned about the functions of the engine and truck and witnessed a firefighter gear up and get ready to fight a fire. They also learned some important safety tips. A Piece of Crestwood Fire History
June 12
Recently, we were gifted this fire helmet by the family of James E. Lynch Jr. who was one of the first firefighters to serve the village of Crestwood. James was a dedicated and accomplished founding member from 1962 through 1969, who took pride in his work and was instrumental during the early years of the department.

The Crestwood Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the role of part time Firefighter-Paramedic.
Available shifts are 10-hour days and/or 14-hour nights every 6th day with off days self-managed. Opportunity to work more if desired. Pay ranges from $25.74 to $29.02/hour, with a $4.00/hour bonus for weekend hours worked (1800 Friday – 0800 Monday), time and a half for holidays, and ... (Full Story)

Local Man Meets With CFD Crew Who Saved His Life

On 2/5/2024 at 09:29, the Crestwood Fire Department was dispatched for a person unconscious and not breathing at the Fed Ex store in town. It was the second open call for the CFD fire companies at that time. Duty Chief 2301, and ALS Ambulance 2302 responded from quarters while ALS Engine 2303 responded from another active EMS call.
