The Village of Crestwood will be conducting fire hydrant flushing beginning the week of April 21st and lasting several weeks. The affected area will be 135th St to 139th St and Laramie Ave to Central Ave, weekdays, during the hours of 9:00am through 3:00pm.
Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance procedure to remove mineral sediments and ensure proper functioning of hydrants and quality of water.
During this time, you may experience a reduction in water pressure or a discoloration of your water. Both of these effects are temporary, and while the discoloration is not harmful, it is best to let the faucet run until the water is clear. |
